FAQs

What is the difference between “ready to eat” and “ready to cook”?

“Ready to Eat” Backyard Boil comes fully cooked, so all you need to do is toss it on the table and get to crackin’, while Our “Ready to Cook” Backyard Boil comes with live lobsters, uncooked shrimp and sausage, and raw veggies to cook yourself. We provide the propane, boiling pot, and all the cooking items required, plus easy to follow instructions. Or request an NVLCo. team member to cook it for you on-site!

When is Lobster season?

Live lobster season is all year round, so it’s always a good time for a boil.

How long does the Lobster stay good before cooking it?

If you get the “Ready to Cook,” we suggest eating it on the day of delivery.

A lobster died in transit, what do I do?

If you happen to have a dead lobster upon arrival, please do not eat it. Reach out to us at (707) 226-3287.

Where do you travel to?

Our Northern California team covers all of Napa Valley, Marin County, the Tri-Valley, Peninsula, South Bay, and more. Our Texas team supports all of the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. If you’re interested in hosting an NVLCo. boil outside of those areas, contact us and we’ll see what we can do!

Where do you get your lobster?

We get our lobster from the New England Lobster Company based in Burlingame, CA. They provide us with fresh, live Maine lobster that’s shipped via air almost every day from their partners in Nova Scotia.

We will provide easy reheating instructions using your oven for you to follow.
